It was fascinating witnessing people’s responses from my window some with caution and confusion, some walking right through, some with curiosity. My favourite moment being a little boy on a scooter who went up to the line and rode in circles shouting ‘avena avena’ to his dad behind and then proceeding to grasp the flour in his hand and throw it back down. An interrupted rhythm sparking intrigue in the everyday.
Through my urban intervention, I also experienced many encounters and conversations I would otherwise have not, all helping me to gain different perspectives of the very urban space I was working in. In the midst of my experimentation, I even got invited to an ongoing party by an intrigued neighbour on his balcony above, which of course I could not decline.
